Signature size

Ok, say I found a cool sig on the web somewhere. The picture is rather large. Does the board automatically shrink it or am I suppose to find a smaller picture of it on my own?

yeah that pic is way too big, and you have to shrink it yourself.

Well someone said that it has to be less than 75x75 and I want to keep the same aspect ratio hence I ended up with 65x74.

yea.. 75x75 or 52k which ever is smaller...

so all im saying is that this one is 65x75 and looks better :D

just look at the diff b/w her hair and face... somehow your pic is all grainy..

what'd u use to resize it?

I used some crappy freeware program I downloaded today called InfranView32 or something. I don't have a digicam so I'm sooo.. not into picture bastardization.... and I'm not an artist either... incase you didn't already know. :P

DUDEEEEEEEEE That's the best freeware prog. I used it too.. u're just not turning on the proper resample features. or u have an older version, but i swear it did it too... Irfanview_32 rocks!!! dat swedish guy has done a lot.

Hmm.. I'm running version 3.05. What version do you have?

All I did was open the file, go to "Image" and chose "Resize".

3.51 but i had 3.05 for the longest time too... yea. in Resize (CTRL-R) btw, there should be an option to pick, a radio button with 2 choices

Use Resize Function (Faster)
Use Resample Function (Slower)

pic the resample, u can't notice the speed diff, but quality u do! :)

unless 3.05 doesn't have this. but daim!

Okay, just checked it out... it does not. There is a section to choose the different sampling methods but that is for "enlarging" only.

New version works and just for fun, I resized the original image and now it looks good... no more grainy Portman. :peace:
