Everything is being saved, but for some reason it doesn't refresh the screen with the new information.

I played with it a little bit, if I change personal information, save it, and then go back to the personal information screen, the old information is shown. If I hit the refresh button, the updated information reveals itself.

I'll see what it takes to force a reload of the information when you go back to the screen.

ok ... if what you say is true ... then howcome every NEXT time i log in and try to do it again ... it shows the OLD info ?? i mean if i log in a week after i changed it ... surely it is RELOADED .. no ?? lol

I go into the change rides. Log in. Change my phone number. Hit Approve. Go back to edit personal info and hit refresh. The new info is there. The new info stays there no matter how many times I go back and forth.

If it's not working for you, tell me the steps your following.

home page .... change rides .... username/password... log in ....

on the first screen ... i simply try to add my cell number ... hit approve ... it reloads ...and shows the number i just entered ... now i hit EDIT CAR INFO ... then go back to personal info ... and it resets to the OLD stuff....

same deal with changing anything

And you hit refresh and it shows what?

i hit refresh ... (RELOAD) .... a window pops up sayin can't reload or something without resending information ... so i click retry and it still shows OLD stuff:(

So, you're telling me that we do the same thing, but it updates for me and it doesn't for you.

I'll force the refresh and we'll see what happens from there.

i don't know if we both doin the same exact thing ... but sure seems like it .... the way i described it ... is the way i been tryin to do it forever now ... and never ever saves .... still shows my colour as red my car's been gray for almost a year

I know there's something specificly wrong with the colour. I've never fixed that problem. I'm just too lazy and I've been expecting a board rewrite anytime now.

I'll look over the old code and clean it up a little this weekend.

sure ... do whatever ...

but it's not like i can't sleep at night because it says my car is red instead of gray .. lol

it's just that, as a member, i feel i should let you guys know if i find a problem with the site...

would be nice if it worked tho...

peace.

I just found this thread... Actually I found the section just now and thought it looked very un-aesthetic. If that's a sentance.

Anyway, I wanna offer my php skills to fix it... haha, it looks straightforward enough and I have recently built something to allow profiles to be managed... An admin get in touch with me. Unless this is being taken care of. Lemme know! :)

Sam get in touch with Keith. Actually this prompts a question if we want to have a rides section..

It looks unesthetic because I designed it for the old board, and just roughed everything out because I new it would be cleaned up, but it was never updated to the new site layout. It doesn't need PHP skills, it needs a web designer.

I can't even log into the change ride section...

"You cannot edit your setup until you are a paid and approved member."

Do I need approval or something? I may miss something, since I never heard or see any details about that (or, in fact, most) section of the TPC website.

BTW, are we still waiting for a TPC site redesign? Cuz it seems that most sections of the site was abandoned... I'm not complaining; it's just weird (I mean how the site was "abandoned").

:peace:

I have no problem logging in as myself. I can't test it as someone else until tonight, cuz I need someones password to get in.

Sam, you just haven't been approved on the rides section, yet. Maybe because you put in crap information? I'll move you over tonight.

When I try to upload pics in the change rides section, I get this:

Warning: copy() [function.copy]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp/phpCTKdSI) is not within the allowed path(s): (/data/httpd/hondaprelude.to/) in /data/httpd/hondaprelude.to/htdocs/setups/stp_edit_pics.php on line 197 When my image file size is too big, I get the proper notice: file size cannot be bigger than 50000 bytes blah blah, but when I upload the image with the correct size, I get the quoted warning.

ha ha. It seems we've been halfway through a redesign for quite some time now. I sure would like to get the new site layout up, but we're waiting on other peoples projects to be complete.

The server permissions changed without telling me. I'll need to modify the picture upload area to get it to work again.

Actually, I'm redesigning the site with the help of Mark, Vince and Laura. The layout is pretty much done but we are waiting on some graphics and approvals of some things. The last thing we would want to do is release a half a$$ site. When Laura gets back in STL, she will be working out on creating all the pages (once I finallize the layout).

93BLACKSRV, We are not getting paid to do this so our jobs, my actual paying clients, and our personal life comes first. That 30$ you paid doesn't go in any of our pockets.
