yup, I'm the proud owner of a new helmet. its about time is all i have to say. now I havent had a chance to wear this thing for an extended period of time but I figure I'd give a review anyways.

This thing is snug! I'm glad I picked a little bigger size than the website suggested. However, after wearing it for a while I realized its the good snug, its comfy. I would definately feel safe wearing this on a motorcycle.

anyways, the helmet i picked was the plain black with the gold reflective shield. there's some pics below.

i got it from this dude:

there's info about them at www.afxhelmets.com
the one I got was on sale so if you're looking for one there may still be a sale, give him a shout to find out...

it was so reflective without a flash that i had to block myself out to protect from further bastardization pics :P

hey this means you won't have to wear that sweat inducing plastic hair net on saturday cause you'll have your own helmet!

nice mod!

maybe... i've been wearing it longer tho and I think its too tight for my liking... i'm probably going to switch linings from the xl to the xxl...

It should be snug enough to just push you cheeks up a bit.. (on a full face) Also you should be able to wing your head around without the hhelmet shifting. Don't forget a new helmet will be a bit more snug until the padding packs down a bit.. Sorta like Skii boots or roller blades..

whats 'a bit'? i feel like i'm making a fish face or something... the head part fits okay for the most part, a little tight but livable, but the cheek pads are a bit thick...

maybe i'll just buy the xxl liner, to use that when i auto-x then use the smaller one if i ever get on a motorcycle...

you should be able to talk to minimal obstruction. Like if you sound like you're at the dentist that's too tight.

Tip#1 from a long time motorcyclist.......hehe

Seriously bro give it some time it will become a little looser.
When I bought my Shoei RF 800 two years ago my rides where totally uncomfortable for about a good month untill the helmet broke in a bit and that was wearing it everday. You want it snug so if something happens(knock on wood) it wont come of or your head and/or allow alot of head movement inside the helmet. Also I like to replace my lids every couple of years (3 at the most)just wearing it and sweating in it breaks down the material inside.Mines starting to get a little to loose for my liking so I might replace it this spring and keep it as a passenger helmet(add to the collection)First month of riding will suck for me because I gotta break in my new leathers, boots and now possibly a new lid.

You must have a BIG head! The sizing chart suggested a small for me. I ended up getting the medium with a small top piece which fit nice and tight. I got a red multi, and ordered another black multi with a smoked shield. That is going to be one bad ass helmet being all black.
