Has anyone installed the oem bodykit themselves?

Is it difficult to remove the factory side sills and rear sill?

I've got the install insturctions but I'm a little nervous about removing the rear bumper to get at the factory side sill. Is there an easier way to remove the factory rear sill?

i've done it...if you got the instructions of handa-accessories.com then it should be very straight-forward...

the side sills are simple...just remove the clips, slide the sills forward (or was it backward?) and they come right off...then you can put of the side skirts in a similar manner...

the rear's a little more difficult, but not too bad...you don't have to take the bumper off if you don't want to, although i did as it made the job a lot easier...but the bumper comes off and goes back on relatively easy...

in total i think it took me an hour or so for the sides and rear...i already had the front on from a previous install and that took about 10-15 mins...so all in all you're looking at about 1.5hrs, max 2hrs, i think....

good luck

How would I remove the rear sill without taking off the bumper? Am I able to access the clips from underneath the bumper?

yeah, you can...but i really suggest you remove the bumper...it'll make your job a lot easier in the end...less stress and neck-wrenching....

I did the rear w/o taking off the bumper, it's do-able (just abit stiff on the neck...)

everything is accessible from underneith the car (you don't need jack stands...). Just put some card board underneith your car and slide under. Its all 10mm sockets and those honda 'clips' (you need a flat head to pri up).
You can do it yourself.:)

Well I did it, ya hoo!

Removing the sides was pretty easy. Just remove the 2 screws, 4 clips, slide it forward, and it pulled right off. Those things really catch the dirt.

The rear was a s.o.b. If you don't remove the rear bumper, you have to crawl underneath with very little headroom and the gas tank and muffler in your way. You have to remove 3-10mm bolts, 8 clips and it slides off the bumper. My neck is killing me but it's done.

I think I'm going to get the professionals to install my oem kit and make them work for the cash.

not sure if i completely understand you...did you install it or didn't you??? first you said you did, then you said you're gonna pay someone to do it...

if you did it yourself, good job!...if not, don't pay someone to do it...it's way too easy...remove the bumper as the instructions say and you'll have no problem...1/2hr (1hr max) and you'll be done....but that's just my $.02

I did remove the black plastic side sills and rear valance ggweci, but I'm going to get a bodyshop to install my oem skirt kit when the time comes. Unless I get the urge to do it myself.

yeah, should have warned you to spray underneath the car first (to get all the built up dirt off).

like ggweci says, it's about 1/2 work, and you'll get more satisfaction from doing it yourself (just slap a baseball cap on and slip underneath the car...)
