Do you guys like the '02 Civic Si seats? I thought they were pretty nice when I was sitting in the Si at Vincel Honda. How much luck would I have finding those used?

I dunno but I have a friend that found some in a junk yard and bought them for 50 bucks.

GET THEM! They are much stiffer than Lude seats! We can drill in the lude brackets.

I don't think it's the latch Jen.. I'll need to take the panel out and have a looksee... I guess I'll do it this Sat.

I'd like to help on that - I am going to have to take my panels off to install the door pieces of my OEM carbon fiber kit. It would be good for me to see where the clips are and how they pop off.
Would Konis and pullies be too much for a day? I don't want to hog everyone's time. If I had to choose, I'd rather do the suspension.
Come across anything interesting in the scrapyard?
Keith

Nah, nothing really Chris. My car has everything I need just about so I only got James' handle. The OEM kit won't take long. We did James' doors in less than 45 mins. We just need to be careful. Pulleys and suspension won't take too long (with airtools). Hopefully, James and Jason can tackle the pulley and we can do the shocks. It should only take about 2 hours to do the suspension. If we have lots to do (as a group) then maybe we should start earlier. Did you get your tires/rims in? If so, just get them balanced and we can slap them on for ya.

Tires and wheels are coming into CA tomorrow. Shipping will be 5-7 days from there. I'm lucky I called when I did - they sold out of all but 1 set of the size I need and a set of 16 x 7. I'm waiting to put them on until I get my Mugen sides & rears fitted and painted by the body shop. Hopefully they can get me in next week. I'll have to leave my car with them for a couple days, so I'll be driving a rental $hitbox for a bit. When I get my Prelude back I'll be in heaven!
How much did you have to pay for the hub adapter for your steering wheel? Don't know why I'm even asking - I can't find a blown S2000 wheel anywhere... I may just have to go Sparco... I'm getting my car inspected in July, so I can switch steering wheels and not have to swap back to stock for 2 years (next inspection here in STL).
Keith

No hub adapter is required for the S2000 wheel.. just a slight modification for the cruise control. Other than that, it's a straight bolt on. I'm looking to get an S2000 airbag still.

Does everything function as normal ? Tilt and everything? One more thing - what is it's diameter (350m ??)
Keith
06-17-2003, 03:47 PM
360mm is the diameter. It's a straight bolt on after that. The airbag just clips in and like I mentioned before, the rewiring of the cruise control. I have pics of the S2000 wheel install if you want to see it.
Jen, as long as you don't bash my door, I'll be fine. :D
So who is doing what on Saturday?
Chris
06-17-2003, 04:13 PM
Here's my list, by priority:
1. Konis
2. Pullies
3. OEM carbon fiber door armrest pieces
I'm ready to help anybody else with anything they need too.

No kidding. I need Civic Si seats for $50 too....
Keith - any clue where I should be looking for a used s2000 steering wheel? Throttle body?? I looked on s2ki.com, found nothing. :smack:
Keith

Hmmm... I think some people caught on to the S2K TB thing since TimeRacer and I posted our findings. I would search or post on s2ki.com. The airbag and wheel are hard to find but you can find them on ebay and po.com from time to time.

Wow ! $620 !!! Jesus! I guess that's not so bad though - I've heard s2000 steering wheels brand new are around $700. This one is even better. I don't know - just a little too much for me right now. I'm still bidding on those Civic Si seats...

Check this link out for an ITR (JDM) wheel. How hard would it be to get that to fit in our cars?

I'm not sure... I know what fits on an S2K, fits on a Lude... but what fits on a 4th gen Lude, does not fit on a 5th. I've heard some peeps say the Civic wheels just bolt on the 5th gen ludes.

are the civic wheels 5 lugs now???
i thought they were 4x114.3??
Jacques

We're talking about steering wheels still, right? I got to test drive a Z4 (and drove the hell out of it :D) last weekend...steering wheel was sooo compact! Between that, and the Mugen wheel coil222 on PO has, makes me REALLY not like my stock wheel.
