Since I completely whored the last install day, I don't have a whole lot I need done.

My list for the next install day is pretty light:

1. Front + Rear strut bars (if they come in from Spoon by then)
2. VAFC hookup
3. OEM Carbon fiber trim for the doors.

eventually...
4. Short shifter (if I can find a good one)

What about everyone else?

What about the steering wheel?

Oh yeah. Forgot about that.
I'm still the high bidder, so I may have it by the time the install day comes around. That should be pretty easy, right?

Well... we might need special tools to remove the steering wheel. You didn't strike a deal with that dude?

He never emailed me back to accept my offer. Now my current high bid is $50 less than I offered him.... Maybe I'll end up saving $$$$ ??

maybe... but you'll have to pay for shipping too.

BTW, did tighting the top nuts on the Konis cure some of the knocking?

Maybe, just maybe, I may have my Progress rear sway by then. Per the seller, Progress finally shipped some endlinks to him.

Sweet, James. After that install, there's not much else you can do to improve the handling of a Prelude. I love it - Preludes are reknown for their handling, then we go and change the whole setup.... After the sway bar, I'd love to see what your car would pull on a skidpad.

Keith - I think that pretty much cured the shock knock. What did we end up doing ? 30 lbs? I'm going to check in about a week or so to see if any of the bolts have slipped. If they're not at 30lbs, maybe we could use some locking goo for the bolts?

Well, not really 30 pds since the shaft started to turn too... :nono: It should be more than enough Chris. But you can use some Locktite (as suggested by Grant). I had to tighten mine up the other day too...

BTW Chris, if you want your car to handle much better, go for the rear sway bar upgrade. Lots of TPCers swear by this mod!

Looks like an easy install, but how much $$? What is the diameter of our stock sway bars?

24mm. The Progress bar I'm getting is 27mm (with adjustability). I don't remember if it's ST or Neuspeed, but they used to have a bar that was 28mm.

Actually, it's 23mm. ST makes 25mm, Progress makes 27mm, Neuspeed makes 25mm but use to make 28mm which rips out the mounts in the rear! Install is pretty easy.. provided the linkages come off without a hitch. (no rust)

If you're looking for short-shifter kits, don't get DC Sports...get Neuspeed (I have DC Sports...the quality stinks)! They only shorten the throws, unfortunately. There were true short shifters made a while back (can't remember the name), but you can't find them nowadays. Another option is to cut the shifter stalk (NTPOG has an article on how to do it).

If you just get a kit, it's easy to install yourself.
