how easy is that to install?

Not terrible hard... we could do it on an install day. I recommend using tap-in connectors to make things easier to install and uninstall.
here is a link for some guy who is selling brand new the VFAC Generation 2 for 350 shipped here's the link http://www.preludeonline.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=127557
yeah installing a vtec controller isnt hard me and my buddy have done 5 of them

what about setting the fuel mapping? is there a common setting for preludes or do you have to dyno to get the settings right?

We are planning to do a STL Lude dyno tune day in a few months time. So far, we have about 3 Luders interested with VAFCs.

Cory, the VAFC 2 is good for VTEC and iVTEC. There would be no real advantage in getting the new version for us Luders... only that it looks a tad different and it cost more.

Search! A VAFC tunes your fuel and air to run more lean or rich mixture.
lude98vtec, do you know what kind of dyno it is?

TJ, I thought Stegimeyers isn't a big fan of imports? Unless he's more receptive to it these days...

I guess it's a good idea to get a baseline of what you are putting on the ground but you won't have anything to tune...
i just want to see what im running..

What did you dyno at?
176.2whp and 143.1ft-lbs of torque. Mods at the time were:
dc header
aem cai
aem pulley's
greddy evo exhaust
fields vtec controller, vtec engagement set at 4800 and fuel curve -2 the whole way up. I tried lower vtec engagement but recieved lower numbers.

Nice numbers! You don't have an SH, right?
I got 173.4 with the same setup except no VAFC and a Apex'i Dunk exhaust.
Keith
thanks keith yeah its a base, I took my vafc out because I want a apexi but for some reason my vtec still kicks in at 4800rpms. I wanna dyno it and see if i get the same numbers.

You took out your VAFC? You mean your Field's VTEC controller? What do you have your Apex'i VAFC set at?
dont have a apexi one, I took out the fields that I had set at 4800 for almost 2 years and I guess it just never went back to stock settings
