Im thinking of getting Motegi MR7's
18" x 7.5" 5/100 5/114.3 45
I am however unsure what the 5/100 or thr 5/114.3 means?
Also will 45 mm offset be coolz if i decide to lower with H & R/ Koni Yellows?
Also will the 7.5" stick outta my wheel wells or will it just be right?
Thank you guys...i really need help on this i don't want them to rub.... P.S im gonna get 215/35/18
Also how does 239 per rim sound? reasonable?

the 5/100 and 5/114 are the bolt patterns. that's about all i know tho :D
i think the lude uses 5/114 but don't take my word for that.

Clayton is right on both accounts. (the 114 is actually 114.3 mm)

I had Motegi and I will never buy those rims again. The price on the rim is OK, thats the Only positive thing about that rim. My motegi [tantrum fakes or whatever] the finish started to chip off and they were practically brand new.. You pay a price for quality.

45 mm offset will not fit. With a 225 tire it actually sticks out past the outside of the fenders to the point you can look down from above the car and see the rear tires. I had 45mm off set race rims a few years ago. They rubbed at stock ride height.

Marsh is right...(as usual)
the 45mm offset won't fit with the 225's
If you go with a 45mm and 215's you'll be ok...that's what I did, and it lowered fine
You're gonna die off the line with all that added weight though!

geez type-s dont tell me these things lol
what if i want a CAI too...ahaha......no more torque for me =)
ya i was planning to run 215's anyways.....hope ur right..if not i hope its a simple fix of a bit of shaving the inside of the fender...

Well, with 18's, you'll get killed off the line, if you want rims, i'd go 17, unless you're going all looks...
And with a CAI, you may loose a little torque, if you car is pretty much stock, but you might gain more when you add other mods cuz of the CAI
I had my 17's on with 215's and a +45 offset, and i had no problems
As for shaving the fender...i don't think that'll work...you can try going wide body, but that'll cost ya!!!

so 7.5 width should be just perfect for fitting inside the body correct? like it wont stick out and look bad?
also what do u mean shaving doesnt work?? i mean ....if there is rub when u turn all the way to one side cant that be fixed by just cutting a lil off the inside?
Thx

7.5 i'm not sure about, you MIGHT run into probs
i can't remember if mine were 7 or 7.5
I'm selling my rims/tires so if you're interested let me know!!
and i don't know if there's much for you to shave off....i've never known anyone to do that

Ramon is right. Those rims will slow you down big time throughout the power band. Civivs will romp on you dude. Then you'll say the lude is slow. The 18 x 7 weight 27.5 lbs. Compared to your stock 19.7. And your going with a 7.5? Good luck.

do u know if it will hang out the fender or not? Flush?
ya i know ...everything will kill me but i wanna go show anyways....since its a 2001 i dunn wanna go engine yet cuz i dont wanna run into prob. with warentee...
anyways...if i get toyo proxes or whatever they are called u wont see me doing launches anymore =)))

haha shave the fenders is SOOO ghetto, any body shop who does that are BUTCHERS! it weakens your fender big time.. you need that material for support! thats why honda put it there in the first place. Go to a good body shop and get it ROLLED [not with a baseball bat]

Dude, how many people are gonna have to tell you it won't fit before you stop asking?

Look into Velox rims
I am getting a set of VELOX VX8 in Gunmetal with a polished lip 17" and they weigh only 17.5 pounds..thats less than stock  ....so the 18's are most likely not that much more
They specialize in lightweight rims and the price is good to
On GBC there is a groupbuy right now...

Hey wushu boy, feel no pain bro, Its good 2 ask questions and I dont blame ya , especially with a big purchase like rims, you dont wanna buy the wrong size and then have problems trying 2 return them and stuff.
:peace:

OK I would be inclined to believe the post on PO.com. It's the kind of question that gets asked there every day. But you may need to do a little trimming in the rear. Not all tires are created equal.
