Frig! Their website is SOOOOOOOOO useless! I'm thinking about switching to DSL with SBC but then I'll lose basic cable. How much is the basic cable line from Charter? Anybody know?

Um my dad pays like 80 for a tv cable and internet cable just for 1 tv and computer hook up but we have more tvs hooked up to it so it cost more.

There may be a special rate since you live in a newer complex, maybe the lease office would have some info.

Are you talking about Charter broadband? I've had Charter's cable (for the PC only...I have DirecTV for the TV), for roughly 2 years, and it costs $50/month. I'm considering switching to DSL instead. Don't get Charter basic cable for the TV...it sucks.

Yeah but basic cable comes free with Charter cable internet. It may not be amazing but it's better than cable TV in Montreal!

yeah sbc dsl is way better than charter pipeline, Keith I bet basic cable will be around 30 bucks. I had charter pipeline for about 2 years and got tired of it always being down because they were working on the lines. I have had sbc for about 3 months now and it runs just as fast (if not faster) and have never had a problem connecting.

Really? I've never had many problems (except during start up) with Charter for the past 8 months. I have a friend who is on SBC and is having constant problems... now she is looking into switching to Charter cable.

That's true... if you are close to a station, DSL can be faster and more reliable... I guess I should find out where the closest station is.
