did you check the battery or the spark plugs? Or maybe you need a block heater ;)

Did the engine crank slowly?

maybe you don't have gas ;)

So the engine did not crank at all? Did the lights go on? It's probably the key immobilizer not being recognized...

If it turned normally, but didn't fire up, it's either a weak ignition, or fuel delivery problem.

If there's a delay, then it might be bad connections, or that immobilizer thing like Jarek said.

Just call me later on today.

This is the first time it happened...maybe i'll just see if it happens again...it's been in the garage all night tho...maybe i'll park outside when it's cold again and see...and i will look out for the things you guys mentioned.

I think it's definitely because of the RS kit..
RS kit causes flux verbulations in the continoum transfunctioner which feeds information in the plazma ignition computer... It's a common problem with Ludes equiped with RS kits. To fix this, open and close the hood fast. If that does not work, open and close the trunk.... :D
Glad to help ;)

If it turned over, but didn't fire, read above.

But if you tried to turn the key, and NOTHING happened, (didn't even attempt to turn over), then it's probably the key recognition issue. I had that quite a bit last summer and then it just went away! Sometimes I had to try 15 times before my car would start!!

key recognition?? what is this that you guys speak of? these are the reasons that i like my old carburated lude......(=

no but seriously, how does the key recognition thing work? is there a chip in the key that the ignition reads? what is it? an actual chip or just a resistor or something??

You're so full of s#$t. Anyone who isn't a complete idiot knows that its the variable phase converter that feeds the helical flow transmogrifier. Hang your head in shame!
Most of these problems can be traced to gold kleenex boxes and crown air fresheners in the back window.

If the engine didn't crank, I do think as well is the key ignition problem. It happened to me couple of times especially in the winter time.

hey, try letting the clutch out about 2 mm from the floor...that is what my friend said helped his problem. when the clutch is pressed RIGHT against the floor the switch doesnt work properly or something.....try it. let us know what happens.

The lude is starting up fine now. I think it was just too cold that night. It happened once before like that too on a cold day. And I usually step on the clutch all the way down. thx for the replies.
