Whats up fellas (and ladies)? I thought I would say hello after discovering this board. This is Ed Camden from po.com. Its been a while since I've been on a Prelude board so I thought I'd see what was new....maybe even give my two cents on a few matters too... . I've been through a Prelude and a Maxima and am currently in a 5-series that I love. It still stock (with the exception of new tires) but that will soon change. Good to see a few old faces on here.

Hey Ed, I think James spoke about you in the past. Good to see an 'old school' guy around here!

Yeah, James was actually the first guy I met when I was looking at a Prelude at the time. He actually coerced me into doing the full Mugen header/exhaust (well...it didn't take alot of arm twisting). I miss the 'ole girl in many ways (the car that is).

Going very well actually. I got rid of the Maxima about four months ago and got a 540i. I'm still in the 'awe' state with that car. I have a few things planned such as a chip and maybe air intake system of some sort, but nothing dramatic.

I saw the pics of your car.....ouch. I know how you feel, remember the phone pole fell on mine and totalled it! I'm curious, did you ever work out a way to get the swirls out of the paint. My BMW is black and I found a few products/techniques that I can share.

when I get the car back thursday or friday I will take pics and post them up. As far as the bad quality in paint, i still think honda paint sucks. They are going to detail it for me before i get it back so it should look great and I'm going to ask them what their secrets are, if they'll share. Definately interested in hearing yours as well.

btw, your front lip is getting a complete makeover thanks to this accident. All the marks from both your driving and mine are now completely gone.

(to anyone else reading this wondering wtf i'm talking about, I bought my oem kit from him a few years ago.)

Yeah, those OEM kits take a beating from road debris and curbs. I HIGHLY recommend gettin some of that 3M clear bra stuff, especially since you are going to have the luxury of brand new paint in the front. As far as deatiling goes....I learned a few tricks. First is the clay bar. That stuff is awesome. As far as polishing/waxing goes, you really need an orbital buffer with some 3M FI2 (actual name for it). Its mild enough that it wont burn through the paint but strong enough to remove all swirls. It is a multi-hour process if done right, but the results are amazing.

BTW, I have some car pics on my hard drive at home so I'll upload them then.
