Release bearing Recall info?

can someone pls inform me of the release bearing recall - what years did it apply to - i have a 98 base model.

I think it was more of a service bulletin than a service recall.
What's the difference you ask?

Service Recall - all affected customers are informed by mail, phone, etc. (based on VIN number)

Service Bulletin - only customers that complain of symptoms of the problem and have the affected VIN numbers.

well, what are the sympto so that i could complain - or is it really worth complaining about.

I know that mine made a sound like a big old rusty hinge when you depressed the clutch. Did it all the time.

call Honda Canada to find out if ur car is affected....I had no symptoms, but I had it fixed for the hell of it.
