My car is in the body shop for some body work and a complete paint job. I am not getting a colour change so i'll be sticking to the stock Black colour. All the body work (small rust nothing big) and everything is done and the guy will start the paint job on Tuesday.

One kind of black I really like is the Audi black or M3 black - not sure what the exact name but i think its code is LY9B .. It's a really wet black and looks just like a mirror under the sun...of course when there's no swirls or other imperfections .... but at the same time i was thinking of maintainous and how hard is to keep the paint job in good condition without getting scratches on it for at least another 3-4 years ...

Now what i need from u guys is, ur suggestion on what colour (in black) i should go with...

BTW its going to be using sikken paint - 3 coats of paint and 4 of clear coat.

I suggest the black by house of kolours called triple black, it looks like if you breathe too hard the car just might ripple........very very VERY hard to maintain, any scratches just ruin it.

I like the E36 M3 black - I think it's called 'Cosmos Black' something or other. Check that one out.

Yes, Im pretty sure the BMW black you are referring to is "303/9 Cosmos Schwartz Metallic". I think that is a standard paint option for M-series only and Im not sure how many places replicate it since its not a straight RGB mix.
