I was crusing through www.jdmhondaparts.com and was checkin' out the Type-S H22A. Now most people say it's 220hp, but is that true?? On jdmhonda it says 220ps, which is not 220hp is it? Wouldn't it be more like 213hp instead?

closer to 217 hp. but their ratings are closer to the truth as far as hp goes. their regular h22 has 10.6:1 and a more aggressive ecu and less emissions controls and somehow has the same 200hp from the factory as we do.

JDM spec H22A's also make a bit more torque, but at slightly higher RPM.

I suggest you look into swapping a B16A head onto your block when the time comes. Some Frankenstein setups are capable of H22A power numbers with slight modifications.

That doesn't work. He has a B20a. He would need a B20b or b20z block for a useful frankenstein.

the 200hp H22a1 JDM engines are from 92-96 when the US engine's had 190hp. the JDM engine makes 161tq though. thats the engine I have.
here is the dyno with i/h/e and vafc tuning
