My car is finally out of Ricks again. I booked an appointment at DPE for an hour of dyno time on Saturday using their wideband to tune the car using only light load.
It's not going to be that interesting. The turbo isn't on, the engine is still being broken in and I'm only doing some part throttle tuning. Anyone's invited to come down and watch if they want.
My time starts at 11am and ends at 12pm. Unfortunately that's the last spot open on Saturday.

The car is running fine, but it's running very rich. I want to properly tune it this time even for the break in period. Last time it was pulled I had alot of carbon on the tops of the pistons even after only 80km of driving.

cool,
I'll be there. unless something comes up.
too bad there arn't any spots open I woulden't mind dynoing the P5. Supposidly it only makes 100hp to the wheels. Yup a loss of 23% if the math part of my brain still works..

Wow, I haven't heard about your car for quite a while DirtyLude! As far as I know from a while ago, you sent your block to GE for some resleeving and fitting in some new internals... Glad to hear your engine running and doing some break-in

Ya, I've been out of it for about 5 months now. My block was actually resleeved by L&B. After about 80km of break in sleeves 1 and 4 dropped. It all came out again and went back to L&B to be sleeved again. I'm not happy with the sleeves dropping, but L&B is paying for the whole thing and I'm not too worried about the car being out of action for some of the winter.
There some pictures of the original build here:

I didn't take any pictures of the second rebuild, though I should have. Things were done a little differently.

I haven't been following what's been up with the Dirty beast ... what happened? Synopsis up 'til now?

That pretty much was the synopsis. Nothing really exciting has happened, yet. I dropped off my F-Max manifold at Brullen about 5 months ago and asked them to make me up an exhaust flange and I haven't seen them since. I hope they're not pissed at me. They're going to build me a new turbo header and downpipe after the break in period.
The car is running fine right now with the Haltech E6k, but my fuel maps are pretty bad, which I'm going to fix this Saturday. I estimate that if all goes well, I'll have the turbo back on in a month or two.
I haven't spent money on the car in 5 months now, and it's starting to put a strain on me. I'm already looking at new shocks and springs, new rims and r-compound tires. I really need some advice from CockyRacingGuy.

Mark, where the hell did you get that EGR cap?
I really wanna come and check it out this weekend, but that's out of the question. :(
I'll probably drive around all summer with my 032's just to burn them off for a new set of Race compounds. I'm gonna try and get my hands on a set of new Kumho Victoracers.

L&B made up the EGR plate for me. Pretty sweet, eh?

I'd like to get one made up for the Lude, but have to find a way to trick the computer to think that the diaphram is still lifting.
