i imagine its like motorcycles where the bike's natural tendency is to stay up right in a straight line of travel.

What happens when you come to a stop light? Run it? How do you get off and on the thing? You need to balance it some how at some point in time, the things isnt always moving.

Stopping is for pussies.
it'd be like any bike, put your foot down when your standing still. As soon as you gave it gas you could balance it with your feet up. I've ridden the vespa's and other scooters before, much more difficult to balance than a motorcycle.
