View Full Version : Thinking about painting bike. Opinions wanted, pics inside!

I've been toying around with getting my bike painted. I like the red during the day but it just doesnt jump out at me under low light. I really like white but EVERYONE is doing white these days. The front runner right now is the liquid silver used on the 08 R6, obviously not very original but I love the color. Lemme know what you guys think and if you have any ideas.

maybe we need to get some pics then to help change my mind! I really like the red during the day/under sun, I think its one of the best colors out there. Its just that once its gets dusk/dark it starts to look maroon to me and I cant stand that. I know, dumb.

haha, if I buy another bike it'll be a Ducati 848(white) or 1098(black with red frame). I plan on riding mine for at least another season though. Below is kinda what I am talking about tho. See how the first picture under the sun, the red is very bright and in the second it just looks a little dull. btw, mine doesnt have the gay turn signals and huge rear fender, haha.

I'd buy a new bike rather than spend the money to repaint it.

I guess I should have mentioned that I'm getting a SMOKIN deal through a very good painter that my friend goes through. But I still may keep the red, I dont hate it by any means and I'll more than likely upgrade to a Duc in the next year or two.

^ your going to hurt your resale on the bike if you do that.
