We all know about the Nascar driver for a day where you pay a fee and get to drive a real race car for 4,6, or 8 hours. BUT I was wondering if they have something like that for bike sin STL? I would want something slow like 600cc maximum.

You can do a test the track session. You would have to provide your own bike and you would only be on the track for about 40 min.

try looking up the MCRA, WERA, or the AMA for more info. but as others have said, most likely not. Who's gonna coach you on what to do on a bike?

Yes, there is, but you have to bring your own bike and your own safety gear. It's not really that much when you think about it. You can get a cheap bike, and the gear isn't just for riding at the track, you can use it on the street as well. Its a great investment in your protection while riding anytime.

www.mcraracing.com - MCRA is the only organization in St. Louis that is currently putting together MC lapping days. You can check out my website for pictures from those events if you like. Their site also has a forum for you to search and ask more questions.

If you want to try it next year, Tom might have more insight than me on the "Test the Track" program that they have been running. You get a couple short sessions to ride the track at a reduced cost. People seem to really like the program.

Good luck.

MCRA, track days and the like are nothing like the NASCAR experience. But they are fun.

I do not know of anything locally.

Stop and think for a min though, you likely want something to ride that is sexy and fast, say a MotoGP bike and you want to see just how good you are right?

Well, since you can't have an instructor next to you like in a car, you would be on your own and any goofs you would make would like be your last ones.

Too much risk, this is why they have track days for you and your bike.

There are racing schools that have bikes but they are in CA and AZ.

I can look up who is doing racing schools if you are interested.
