Well I bought the '98 Ej6 back in Feb of this year... The previous owner had a **** bomb paint job done on it and side skirts and a few things missing...

After market side skirts that were molded onto the car, 17" wheels, and no grill at all. Broken motor and torque mounts along with a broken exhaust system.

A few little changes, dropped it, got a grill and amber fogs, Tanabe Medallion cat back, and a fewother small things...

Along with an Si-R lip, my old Civic Type R spoiler, Civic Type R mirrors, 99-00 tails, EP3 wheels, Tokico Illuminas with H+R Red springs, STOCK exhaust, and the regular upgrades people progressively make... here it was about 6 months ago. I got rid of the white paint and bought some Dupli-Color Satin Khaki for the hatch.

As of October 5, 2008... Here is how it sat with the new OEM foglights, Mugen front lip, and the Mr. Alex replica spoiler.

As of currently, it is now sitting with Polished Slips, the Mr. Alex spoiler brackets tilted hard, more suspension parts as well...

This has been my DD build for fun for the past few months. Now that I'm not longer in an apartment that I don't live in with my ex-g/f Crystal, and I have money back in my pockets and pretty much all debt is paid off, time to get a few more goodies to finish this car up and I'm currently taking a poll on what color to paint this car with "REAL" paint. But majority like Burgundy Red and Matte Khaki with clear coat

Burgundy...

Matte Khaki...

More updates soon to come with the new wheels I should be getting soon.
But I think a set of Work Meister S1 in white would look pretty nice.

That red & khaki sounds like a good combo. just tilt the spoiler back, it looks retarded, seriously.

I'll be honest, I don't really get why everyone on STLHondas thinks this car is amazing. However, if it was matte khaki sitting on those Works, then I would be very impressed. Just my opinion.

PS Welcome back to HACSTL.

Honestly it's a pretty nice car, have seen it in person. Sure it doesn't have a professional paint job but he is working on that since he obviously stated that in deciding the color to actually paint it. It honestly looks good in person just have to see it to understand it. Sure it's probably not everyone's cup of tea but just like everyone's car as long as the owner likes it and appreciates it thats all that matters. And I mean for a DD it looks pretty good from what it used to be.

Props for doing something different. I've always liked the EK hatches and wanted to put a B18 motor in there. *sigh* I like the Works you have in mind for them but I think I would opt to paint the various pieces that are currently black. Is the motor stock?

It will be a stock motor for another week. Throwing in a slightly built B16A for fun with my fully built B16 tranny. Working on getting my HKS Hi Power cat back as well. Then more BENIN pieces to throw in with a custom valve cover, some ARC goodies and upgrading to P.I.C. Suspension as well.

I also know and understand that this car isn't everyone's cup of tea, like JayZ stated, but buying it in Feb, having it completely payed off 3 months ago, and also throwing away $400+ / month on a place I didn't even live at... This car should be going in a much better direction now that I have MUCH more money back in my wallet.

Sounds like a solid plan. Im with others on the paint, but your working on it. Its nothing I would do, but its your car, do what you want. I like the red.

Saw your pics...car is turning out good so far! On the wheels, what made you decide on white? not sure if Works makes them in other colors, but what about anthracite, or gunmetal, or even bronze instead?

On a glossy khaki car, I think white looks great. I love the other hatch he posted a pic of.

I guess white wheels are an acquired taste sometimes, though.

Work makes the Meister's is polished, white, black, and gold...

I'm just ready to receive my Spoon Sw-388's finally... summer isn't coming fast enough.

Josh like I have said before the hatch has come along way man. Also, I am diggin the satin paint for some reason. I mean yes gloss paint is nice but that satin looks good on your car.

Why not keep the polished slips? Those look perfect on just about any color and save you $$$$ for an engine. And the Burgandy is a definate yes.

No pics of the engine until the bay is painted, valve cover is finished, BENEN bar installed, and cleaned... but you know the engine is just normal bull****...
