I've been looking for bikes lately but I'm still trying to figure out what kind to get. I really like the cafe style bikes and most people seem to navigate towards the Honda CB 750 and there's tons of parts online. Does anybody know about these bikes or know any Honda groups in the St. Louis area?

thanks,

Reverend

The CB750 was the must-have motor of the 70's. Anyone who builds small metric choppers wants that 750 motor.

It was the first original "superbike." Faster than anything else in its time.

Yeah, those bikes are HEAVY! we're talking 500lb+ for the 750 and larger. Used to work for a guy who sells classic bikes and many-a CBs went through his wares while i was there. gotta watch out for rusted forks and what not, the restored ones can also fetch a nice price.

Here's a 750 he's selling right now: http://michaelsmotorcycles.com/196974HONDACB750o08.html

I stopped by Michael's shop and saw this. He led me to a CM 400 (know anything about these?) that seemed pretty nice as far as a starter bike. I found a few instances of cafe conversions for this though not as many as the CBs. Michael is definately a interesting person, he was helpful though. Thanks for your help, I had trouble finding a vintage bike shop in the area.
