Just got the OH SO famous 5th synchro grinding problem.
cars not covered under warranty...
the job will be a nice $1200+...
now unless anyone has ANY suggestions that can help me.... then I'll move on to my question.
This problem only occurs if my shifts are above 4K RPM.... It also wont happen UNLESS I shift from 4th to 5th...
from 4th to neutral to 5th theres no problem.
The job is just too expensive for my blood right now....
will I have aprob if I dont get this fixed and keep my 5th gear shifts under 4K or double clutching into 5th? Seeing how it wont grind there wont be no prob..... right or wrong?

I had this exact same problem about 2 years ago but mine was caused by using synthetic tranny oil...and then when i changed back to Honda MTL, the problem disappeared...damn the mechanic that suggested this...waste my time!
