talk to Grant... I was gonna do it but then he stole mine...

this is a really good mod for the non-vtec's cuz their brakes suck... I guess they don't really go fast enough to need such braking power ;)

I stole nothing.. you were just too slow out of the gate. I guess whatever speed you VTEC guys gain in engine HP you lose in reaction time... :P

oh yea.. Sombody emailed me a buch of questions about the mod... Here's part of my reply...

The Legend GS calipers are essential the same as the NSX caliper except that they lack the "cooling fins" (which really don't increase the surface area of the calipers enough to make that much of a difference). I installed them last year and changed my pads to AEMs and added SRV rotors.

With the new pad/rotor and Caliper combo I had so much Stopping power that I was finding I had "too much brake" for my tires (Stock size Toyo T1-S) and that the ABS was kicking earlier than I expected. Mind you my stopping distances decreased dramatically but learning to beat the ABS took a bit of time. After I installed my 215/40-R17 Toyo T1-S I found that on the street I began to worry that in emergency braking situations I would stop so fast that I wasn't worried about the car in front of me anymore but more concerned about the car behind me not being able to stop fast enough. If you're just driving around you won't notice that much of a difference but If you really push the car then there is a huge difference. I was braking into corners on the track way deeper than most of the cars with me... This spring I intend to install my AEM Big brakes I figure that I should be able to out stop Porsches and M3s

Oh yea if you do find a set and go to install them keep in mind that you need to install them "upside down" Right caliper on left side of car...

I looked around but they are hard to find... I'd do it if I was planning to keep the car longer, but for now, brake fluid and maybe pads.

I'm wondering if the CL-S calipers might fit...

I don't know 100% but I bet they are.

Close, but no cigar Grant! Remember we looked up the specs a long time ago? The Legend calipars pistons are 2mm larger than the NSX calipars, and made of cast iron instead of aluminum.

D, the CL and TL calipars idea looks promising. But I've found that the best match for our cars is the Accord Euro R or Type R - which doesn't require a shim. Too bad it's not available in North America.

Oh ya. forgot about that.... The NSX caliper, Legend GS caliper, SRV and Accord Wagon ( I think) Caliper use the same pads tho..
