Is anyone interested in doing a HACSTL F1 league on Yahoo this season?

I'm sure I will start the season, miss a race or two, make a bad couple choices, then totally bail mid season... that being said... sure, I'm in.

well.. we can't do the yahoo one.. it wasn't listed under the fantasy sports listing on the UK site and then I went to the old site and it says its on hiatus.

ok, I joined up and made a league there.

The league name is: HACSTL-F1
The password is: prelude

You have to make an account, make a team, then join the league. The format isn't awesome, but it will work..

I setup an account. I'm trying to put a team then will join in a bit. Curious if it'll let me have a team in HACSTL and the DIM leagues, or if I need two accounts.

i think you can join as many leagues as you want with the same team.. or make more than one team..

I'm not digging the format either (ie: not being allowed to change drivers, teams, or engines as the season progresses), but oh wells. Everybody, sign up!

In with two teams. This format is strange. And it is all luck.

I wish it would award points and allow you to use them to upgrade... obviously scaling the cost of components after each race. i.e.

If Alonso costs 40 now, and he doesn't finish the first race, then his value drops to 35
If you have him, you earn 0... but he is still costing you 40mil

If you have De La Rosa and he finishes the race in first you get 30 pts and you get 5mil extra team dollars to spend
His value goes up by 5pts but your original cost still applies to him because you contracted him prior to his increase in value.

Maybe I should run a league. LOL

OK boys - I signed up for the Fantasy thingy.

I also created a mini-league on the Speedtv.com site. That one has lots of cute icons and stuff. It is like a combo of this new one and the old yahoo one we used to do. You DO get a budget and have to pick 3 drivers, a chassis and an engine. However like the old yahoo one, you can change up to 3 of those elements before each race. Even better is that you don't have a limit on how many times you can select Fernando Alonso for example.

If anyone wants in, go to Speedtv.com and sign up.

Totally ripped that from Marko. Anyway, get in both leagues. I think it will be fun!

i signed up for the speed one as well.. neither is awesome, but that one's layout at least makes a bit more sense..

btw, don't freakout if you can't see the league once you've joined it. apparently we have to wait for a site update to see the league your team is in.

if i heard right during the bahrain race broadcast, that and australia won't count to any points totals.
they'll start keeping score in malaysia.

and since they apparently won't let me sign in with the username i already have with speedtv, f-em.

After the Malaysian GP, in the FantasyF1 game leagues, I'm ahead of CG and CSF in 1st, and 2nd in the 53-team STL F1 league (run by Designs in Motion, the diecast car store).

In the SPEEDTV league, I'm behind CG and CSF.
